Dearest Family and Friends,
The pandemic has resulted in a sharp decline of contributions and other sources of revenue which are the lifeblood for charitable organizations, including our own. The world’s charities are frontline responders to the battle against climate change. At this crucial time, we find encouragement knowing that you care and believe in the work we’re doing.
While much of the world is on pause, our mission of helping stabilize the global climate by protecting and restoring Arctic ice never stops. We’ve recently packed up our own pools and instrumentation equipment (see below) and sent them to Utqiaġvik, Alaska, to continue remotely working with our partners at Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation.
Please consider a donation to help offset some of the expenses we’re incurring, and secure our stability for the turbulent year ahead. You'll have an immediate impact on our climate modeling, eco-toxicological testing, laboratory analysis, and field trials.
While each one of us is facing great challenges at this time, we hope you can find a little peace knowing that together we'll persevere in the ongoing fight for a healthy climate. The health of the Arctic is vital to preserving the Earth’s environments and ecosystems.
In times like this, I’m reminded of how interconnected we all are. Thank you for standing with us! Without you, none of it is possible.
Best regards,
Tom Light
Executive Director
